AR Touch Screens

We are using Analog Resistive (AR) technology to produce our touch screens.  Our touch screens have 75-85% light transmission.  Hard-coated surface is finger nail scratch proof.  Touch register force is typically 2-6 Oz.  Estimate 1-million touch cycles per a spot area.

The AR type of touch screen acts like a resistor.  Temperature and humidity will cause negligible change in its characteristics.  Therefore less calibrations are required throughout  the year.  The touch screen is pressure sensitive with no limit of the medium used.  This means that a gloved hand, an insulated object, or any other medium will do as long as pressure is applied to the touch screen.  The touch screens are unaffected by dirt, corrosion, static, grease, water, etc.  Placing a protective cover sheet over the touch screen will have no adverse effects on its operation. The force required for registering a touch is very small while the response time is very fast. Sharp objects may defect its surface, however, the hard-coated surface is scratch resistance and durable.

The low cost and durable features make the AR touch screens widely used in the applications of point of sales (POS), restaurant services, museum presentations, store directions, products findings, information kiosks, and many others.

Combine the AR touch screens with the advanced USB controller's technology, we create a new application for WriteScreen®.
