The HTIUSB030-15P is a 15” color LCD monitor integrated with an analog resistive touch screen and a USB touch controller. It features an adjustable stand to change the viewing angle for use at a podium, a restaurant counter table or a desk. It connects to your PC via VGA and USB (Universal Serial Bus) cables. The touch screen is pressure sensitive and works with any media including a fingernail, the eraser end of a pencil, or a plastic stylus. The USB controller has very high resolution (4096 x 4096) that allows the touch position to be interpreted in a fine spot. The high sampling rate (75kHz sampling rate to give 36k.touch/sec) makes the touch response quick. There is no need to install the device driver. When the touch monitor’s USB cable is plugged in for the first time, the Windows operating system will automatically detect it and provide the HID (Human Interface Device) driver to work with it. The low-speed USB device throughput (1.5Mb/sec) is specified for HID device operations, such as mouse, keyboard, and touch screen. The low-speed USB operation is separated from the full-speed USB traffic and does not take any system IO/memory resources. This means that your PC system will not noticeably slow down, nor will you need to configure the interrupt and IO ports. Power is automatically saved when the screen is untouched. The touch screen motions emulate a mouse’s single and double-click, drag, and button-up. A steady touch (longer than 0.6 sec at the same spot) at a position controls the right-button click such that drop-down menu operations can be performed. The touch screen will work as a standalone pointing device which has been used in most POS (Point Of Sales). This touch monitor will work concurrently with any kind of mouse, such that the mouse can be a back up device. This touch monitor is pre-calibrated to achieve accuracy within 10 pixels. It can be used from PC to PC with no need for recalibration; though a calibration utility program is included.
